RESEARCH AREAS: TGFβ signal transduction, microRNA studies, C. elegans, Drosophila, cancer biology

Applications are invited for one to two positions in my lab to study (1)TGFβ signaling in C. elegans and Drosophila and/or (2) microRNA regulation of signaling pathways. All positions offer competitive salaries based upon expertise and experience. We are extending our studies of signaling in both organisms--e.g., identification of new signaling components in both organisms, developmental studies of C. elegans body size determination, TGFβ signaling in the Drosophila brain, and microRNA regulation of pathways during development and in cancers, particularly breast cancer.

We are looking for applicants interested in signal transduction / developmental genetics with prior training in genetics or molecular biology that can carry out research in an area related to TGFβ signaling and microRNA research. Individuals should be highly motivated and possess good interpersonal skills.

We participate in a biweekly group meetings consisting of several local C. elegans labs and six Drosophila labs. Rutgers offers a very interactive scientific environment and superb training. We are 45 minutes from NYC by train and the Rutgers Campus is situated in pleasant surroundings. Applicants should send a CV, brief letter describing research experience, and names and phone numbers of three references to:
