Driving and Parking

The Waksman Institute is located just beyond the intersection of Frelinghuysen Road and Hoes Lane West on the Busch campus of Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. You can get specific driving directions to our location using Google Maps or by using the Mapquest form below.

The Waksman Institute is the large red-brick building with a clock tower, as pictured below.

• Coming north on Hoes Lane West, you will see the Waksman immediately after the crosswalk that connects the Rutgers golf clubhouse and golf course. Turn right onto Frelinghuysen road (immediately after the crosswalk) and take the first left into lot 50.
• Coming south on Hoes Lane West, you will see several campus buildings and large red signs for UMDNJ. The Waksman will be the last large building on your left. You may be able to turn left into lot 50, but if the gate is closed, you will need to continue on and make a left onto Frelinghuysen Road, and then take a left into lot 50.
• Coming west on Frelinghuysen Road, proceed through Busch campus towards the end of Frelinghuysen Road. You will see the Waksman on your right as you approach the end of Frelinghuysen Road. Drive past the length of the building, and take the last left into lot 50, just before the stop sign marking the intersection with Hoes Lane West.

There are several spots in lot 50 that are accessible outside the gates. However, you will need to display a day pass to be allowed to park in those spots. Let us know in advance if you need a day pass, and we will get you one; otherwise, you can get a pass when you arrive.
