Postdoctoral Position

A postdoctoral position is available in the Singson Laboratory to study reproductive biology using C. elegans. Projects focus on the multidisciplinary analysis of genes required for gamete cell-cell interactions. This is an outstanding opportunity to help develop worms for the study of fertilization. Experience in either molecular biology, genetics or reproductive biology would be an advantage.

The lab is located in the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University. In 2003, Rutgers was the top-rated institution in The Scientist's "Best Places for Postdocs" survey. The biomedical research community in the area includes more than 150 active labs (including 8 other C. elegans labs) housed at Rutgers and the adjacent medical school, UMDNJ. This very interactive scientific community offers a superb environment for training. We are 45 minutes from New York City by train and the Rutgers campus is situated in pleasant suburban surroundings.
